The education program of Chemistry Teacher Education major for the period 2020 – 2024 is enacted following the Decision No. 2058/QĐ-ĐHSG September 08 2020 by the principle of Saigon University. Once the learners acquire 132 credits of the education program, they will be awarded the bachelor degree of Chemistry Teacher Education. The education program is updated twice/ year according to the feedback from the DACUM conference between those involved, such as education specialists, employers, former students, managers … Thanks to this conference, the education program is supervised, innovated to meet the higher demands of learners, employers, and in turn helping the Chemistry Teacher Education major maintain the highest quality as well as the size of the training sector.

Program Objectives

            Within the first few years after graduation, graduates will be able to:

– PEO 1: Apply solid foundational knowledge on Education and Chemistry in order to teach Chemistry.

– PEO 2: Conduct scientific research in the field of Chemistry and Chemistry Education; participate in projects related to Chemistry and other relevant fields.

– PEO 3: Demonstrate problem-solving skills, creative thinking skills, organization skills, and team leadership skills.

– PEO 4: Apply experimental techniques proficiently; make use of Chemistry laboratories in order to perform teaching and research works.

– PEO 5: Fulfill social responsibilities, adhere to professional ethics, develop a spirit for lifelong learning, actively find opportunities for learning, and integrate into the global community.

Job Position after Graduation

Teachers: teaching chemistry and natural sciences subjects at secondary schools and high schools.
